New and Improved VickyBeeching.com Almost Done!
Watch this space for a cleaner, fresher looking, new and improved Blogsite, coming very soon! I'm moving from one blogging program called Typepad to a better one called Wordpress. This will allow me to do much more in future - with audio players, better video stuff and even the ability for you to video-comment rather than just typing written comments... So it will be a fun adventure as I figure out all the new possibilities once it launches!
It's being built for me by a new friend who lives in China. His blog is http://www.biscuet.com Check it out!
Thanks for all the fun comments about your England travels!
Let me turn the question around a bit...You are all so well travelled that these travel questions are fun!
"Where in the USA is your most favorite place?
If you are from another nation, have you visited the US and if so where?
If not, where would you love to see Stateside?"
I'm preparing for a weekend of ministry in Buffalo where I'll be speaking and singing... Good times!
I'm also continuing to work on my book draft this week - pray for wisdom and inspiration!!
Love,
Vicky

Heey, cool new webstuff :) Looking forward to it!
I've also been in the US of A in 2002. Been in Chicago and some places in Wisconsin. Was very lovely and the people were warm and friendly. A friend of mine got married so i took the chance of being there for 2 weeks.
I want to go back somedays, also like to visit the Rocky Mountains and New York. Have some family actually on the east
coast so that would make a good excuse ;)

I live and Canada and there are tons of cool places to visit here. But I have been to Seattle about 10 years ago and that was beautiful as it is right along the ocean.

I went down to Texas for summer missions with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Texas was absolutely wonderful. I'm one of those people who'd rather be too hot than too cold. Though it was a little too hot, I loved it down there. I'd rather live in Pennsylvania, though. I've lived here all my life and I don't accept change too well. :P

Hmm... favorite place in the States? I always have a hard time picking favorites...
I love Holland, Michigan... partly because I've got lots of great family and friends around there. It's also nice because there are lots of lakes and trees.
Living in Seattle, Washington for part of last year and this year has been pretty cool. Having mountains, the ocean, rain forests, big city, a large university and lots of other great stuff all really close has been great.
I was in Phoenix for a chunk of last year, and that was really nice too. Good hiking and beautiful surroundings all over the place, plenty of things to do, lots of sunshine, etc.
I've got a brother and sister-in-law in Chicago, so it's always fun to visit them there, and there's plenty to do in the area.
A couple of places in the States where I haven't been to yet but where I'd like to get to soon would be California, Alaska, and Hawaii. I'd also love to take a road trip across/around the States for a while. Maybe some day. :o)

Hey Vicky, I'm French but my Mom is american and I went to the US for vacations and as a Junior in High School for 7 months , I was in Rolla, MO , but I visited Kansas , Mississippi( for a youth group mission trip) , Wisconsin and Dallas , Texas that I love very much by the way. And I also went to Golf Shores ,Alabama on a 4th of July.
But I ,would love to see NY , Las Vegas , Los Angeles and Nashville.
And I'm so excited about the new site coming.

I have lived in Ohio my entire life, and the more I travel the more I love where I live. The absolute best part in my opinion? No large bugs! JK-sort of! I love the fields that seem to go on forever. We are also very close to Cedar Point, a blast if you've never been there.
My favorite place to visit is Gatlinburg, TN, especially in the fall when the leaves are turning. Beautiful.

Some great comments already, and the US has something for everyone. Nothing quite like New York City, we took my oldest daughter Natalie to American Girl Place for her 8th birthday and went ice skating at Rockefeller Center, to the top of "The Rock" observation deck and saw "Mary Poppins" on Broadway. My in-laws lived in Las Vegas, but I don't recommend it, too seedy. My in-laws are moving to Seattle and I love it, great city. I live outside of Philly and I love it and we are a short drive to both New York and Washington, D.C. which is a must-see as well.

Actually, Nashville last week was pretty great too.
When I first started traveling several years ago, my thought was to get to as many places as possible (like seventeen countries in four weeks). However, I find that I actually prefer to stay longer at fewer places... I'll just have to take more trips to see more places. :o)
I liked Nashville enough that I'm hoping to get back there again for a while. Maybe after Seattle...

I do not have a clue! I have never been to the US whatsoever. If I take Art A level then I have the chance to travel to New York which would be fun however my artyness is not quite there yet!
Great hearing your stories about the USA will make it there one day!
with love

Favorite place without a doubt... the Wallowa Mountains in NE Oregon. Hiking in the high mountains... camping at the lakes. Seriously worth a click on the links below.

That's my heritage. My great, great grandparents homesteaded there. My great grandma was actually courted in a horse and buggy there. The one room homestead home is still there... at least the bottom logs. It was my grandpa's favorite place in the world... I guess it stuck with me.

I love Lake Tahoe California...absolutely breath-taking, beautiful. Every time i drive up the mountain i think of our amazing Creator. if you haven't been there, you should come check it out and visit our church while you are at it (Carson Valley Christian Center).

I've never been to the States but I will soon. A niece of my grandpa lives with her family in Oregon, so that would be my first place to visit.
Other places I'd love to see are Alaska, New York, Niagara Falls, Grand Canyon N.P. and Salt Lake City because some of our Dutch sportsmen and -woman had the opportunity to win gold and silver medals for ice- skating at the 2002 Winter Olympics and I love ice-skating, so it would be cool if I ever get the change to go to that ice center, be where they've been and do some ice-skating myself!

Favorite place in the USA has to be Franklin TN, mainly because of the people (Randy & Chris, Kathy & George, Chad and rest of the Cre:ate crowd) A close second is Santa Cruz CA - the beach, the weather and the pine forests, stunning! and Santa Cruz is more than a little crazy.

Hi Vicky,
This is a nice blog already. Are you planning to move to another system every year or so?
By the way, I could not find an older posting, with the picture of the stuffed dog you hold in your hands. But I had a copy of it anyway. I used it in an article about Rebecca St James (http://rebeccastjamesreference.blogspot.com/2008/05/fan-fun-rebecca-animal-farm.html), I hope you don't mind?
Kind regards,
F.
